The Generals hit the road for their final regular season home game. Their opponent was the Strathmore Wheatland Kings. Cochrane needed to win to clinch 1st overall in the HJHL standings and home ice advantage throughout the playoffs. The Sunday afternoon game didnt produce many highlight reel plays but the Generals did what they came to do and picked up a 6-4 win to end with a record of 30-5-1. The Generals ended up tied with the Blackfalds Wranglers with 61 points but won the tie breaker after beating the Wranglers twice earlier in the season. The win capped off an impressive regular season were they saw some new team records being set. The 61 points earned is the best in franchise history as well as the 14 game winning streak to start the season. Danny McSween became the 1st General to hit 100 points in a season, ending with 103 to take the HJHL scoring crown. After a great regular season the Generals know that the real work begins now. The goal to start the season was to win during the postseason. The playoffs are a long 2 month grind and the Generals are prepared to do what it takes to battle for a league championship in April.
