The Generals needed only a single point in Banff to clinch the HJHL's Central Division and they did just that with a 4-2 road win. Danny McSween kept his magical season going scoring 2 goals, including a shorthanded game winner to increase his total to 40 on the year. Kris Keller and Riley Boothby added goals of their own and Kenny Quinn stopped 30 shots on his way to his league leading 14th win. Quinn made many key saves throughout the game including a highlight reel pad save late in the game to preserve the win.
The team returns home on Friday to give the home town fans a early glimpse of the playoffs. First round opponents, the Mountainview Colts are in town for Cochrane's final regular season home game. Then the Gens head up to Didsbury on Saturday to complete the home and home series. These two games could possibly be the first two of a possible 7 games in 10 days versus the Colts. Be sure to check the schedule for all playoff dates and times. Hop on the Generals Train as the 2011 playoffs are just around the corner!!!
