Generals Building Momentum Before Playoffs

With only 3 weeks remaining in the HJHL regular season the Generals are continuing to roll along. Last Saturday the team improved their league leading record to 24-5-1 after defeating the Ponoka Stampeders 11-4. Cochrane exacted some revenge on the Stamps, who tied them back in November. Danny McSween led the way yet again, adding 6 more points to his season total. Jonny Pictin was not far behind as he picked up another hat trick and 2 assists. Tyson Soloski added 2 goals of his own while Kyle Tucker, Jason Labelle, and Riley Boothby each found the back of the net. Kenny Quinn backstopped the team for his league leading 13th win of the year.

With the season winding down many Generals players are atop of the league leaders lists. Danny McSween is leading the league in Goals(38), Assists(49), and points(87). Jonny Pictin is second in goals(35) and Points(69). Mike Matlo is tied for 6th in goals(24). Jason Labelle is second in assists(37). In the pipes Kenny Quinn leads with 13 wins and Garrett Fraser is not far behind with 9 of his own.

With only 2 more home game remaining on the regular season schedule make sure you come out and cheer on your Generals as they battle with Red Deer, and Blackflads for top spot. Next home game is Saturday Feb. 5th vs Three Hills Thrashers.
