The Cochrane Generals got a special visit from country music star Paul Brandt this week.
Brandt spoke to players about the reality of human trafficking, a topic he says is closer to home than many people realize
Through his Not In My City campaign, Brandt works to raise awareness, unite communities, and give people the tools to push back against exploitation.
“We’re truly grateful to Paul for taking the time to share such an important message with our players,” said the team on social media.
The Generals will open their season Sept. 27 at the SLS Centre, dedicating the night to the memory of 10-year-old superfan Elliot VanWynsberghe.
A tailgate party and fundraising efforts will support the Cochrane Humane Society, one of Elliot’s favourite places to visit.
