The Cochrane Generals return home tonight looking to build on last weekend’s dominant performance against the Medicine Hat Cubs in the first game of a home-and-home series.
Cochrane blanked the Cubs 3-0 in Medicine Hat last Saturday, with strong goaltending and tight defensive play keeping the visiting offence at bay. Tonight, the Generals host the second game of the home-and-home series at Totem One, aiming to extend their winning streak to three games.
The Gens enter the game one point behind the Cubs in the tight HJHL south division race.
Puck drops at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Totem One for the Cubs’ first visit to Cochrane this season.
Fans can also look forward to another key matchup Saturday, when the Generals hit the road to face the Wheatland Kings in Strathmore. The Kings hold a two-point lead over Cochrane in the close south division contest.
